Twilight, twilight and Carlisle (Musn't forget carlisle)

Yesterday..

Yesterday I finally got around to watch "Twilight - Evighetens Kyss" as it was titled in Norwegian, and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. That's quite a surprise actually, since I was convinced that the movie never could do the book justice. However, I was wrong. Sure, the movie strayed a bit from the book, but overall I think it was a nice adaption to the big screen.

The hype is killing me though. My friends suddenly come up to me and say something utterly ridiculous about the books, and won't accept that they're wrong. In most cases it can be figured out, but it's still a bit annoying. Take this one person who said it was a pity that Renesmee would never become an adult. She actually thought that Renesmee would stop growing at 7 years old to stay in a 7-year olds body forever. Everyone is discussing whether Edward or Character X is the hottest, and everyone goes all "Edward and I are perfect for eachother, it's just too bad he's famous, because then they're not very kind."

See my peeve? Who are they talking about here? The actor Robert Pattinson, or the character Edward Cullen who is an idea of perfection?

Over to the movie itself. I was really surprised when I saw the Cullens (not including Edward), because I hadn't seen any of the actors before watching the movie or anything. Positively surprised. They were a bit different than what I had expected, but I figured that a Twilight with another cast wouldn't be quite right. Oh, and one thing I really loved about Twilight was all the colour. The green was just as I had imagined when I read the book, and something about rain just makes me happy. The scenery was so romantic in a way, actually the whole film was. And now I'm not talking about romantic as in, well, I hope you get it. Romantic as the romantic in the norwegian artistic period "Nasjonalromantikken". That kind. It was beautiful, in a way, and I felt that those who made the film really had tried to convey a message of...

TBC

My favourite Cullens were.. all.. :D But especially Carlisle! He was.. different than what I had expected. Oh, and my favourite scene must have been the baseball-match or when Bella first came to the Cullen house. It was awesome.

PS: Carlisle <3>

I will not concur on it. I assume polite post. Particularly the title-deed attracted me to review the sound story.
